October Vaping Regulations Update
With the new 1 October vaping regulations coming into force, Vape-Free Kids NZ decided to see if stores were still selling products they shouldn't be.
We found over 20 stores in Auckland, Wellington and Christhuch still selling illegal products including banned disposable vapes:

A storm of media coverage has been following Casey Costello around with RNZ revealing her heated tobacco tax cut plan has stalled with heated tobacco devices pulled from shelves:
Minister Costello has vowed to release the ‘mystery independent advice’ about the benefits of heated tobacco products that has helped guide her decisions:
But that hasn't stopped growing calls for Costello to ‘Resign’:
Including calls from Health Coalition Aotearoa for PM Christopher Luxon to stand Costello down and reverse tobacco tax cut decision:
Given all these revelations, Vape-Free Kids NZ are continuing to advocate for fewer stores, more enforcement and stronger action from the Government. Especially with new vaping legislation being proposed.
